President Buhari Reacts After Super Eagles' Exit From AFCON
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday reacted to the defeat of the Super Eagles on Sunday in the hands of their Tunisian counterpart at the ongoing AFCON 2021 tournament in Cameroon. It will be recalled that the Nigerian senior football team suffered a shock 1-0 defeat which ended their AFCON campaign as they could not proceed to the quarter-final stage.
Reacting to the development, President Buhari in a statement on Monday evening which was signed by his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu said the team didn’t live up to expectations.
