APC Chieftain, Agbomhere Joins Edo 2024 Governorship Race
An Edo State chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Blessing Agbomhere, has announced his intention to join the 2023 governorship race in the state. Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled the state’s governorship election for September 21, 2024.
Some members of all the major political parties in the state have since been declaring their intentions to contest the election.
Yesterday, Agbomhere, who is the incumbent South-South Zonal Organising Secretary of the APC, confirmed his ambition months ahead of the election.
Buhari is alive - Presidency debunks death rumour
The presidency has denied a report by some media that President Muhammadu Buhari, who is holidaying abroad is dead.
The disturbing report has first been broken by an alleged fake Metro (UK) site that "quoted" the Nigerian mission in the country as confirming the president’s death.
The report claimed that Buhari visited the UK for medical check over an unknown disease adding that details of his death were still sketchy.

Shehu, an aide to the president-elect advised the youths to channel their energies towards more productive ways of showing solidarity to the incoming administration.
